Working out in our small group environment is an effective and fun way to achieve your health and fitness goals. Each class is designed to give you a whole body workout using functional movements for pushing, pulling, rotating and leg power. On top of that, each day of the week is unique in its own way. We use a scientific approach to work:rest ratios so that each day is strength focused, or endurance focused or speed/power focused to create a constantly changing stimulus for your body and mind.
Class sizes are small enabling us to adapt for individual needs to insure everyone gets an optimal workout.
The structure of a 60 minute workout looks like this:
- 0-15 mins = myofascial release work & mobility warm up: using rollers and massage balls prepares your muscles and joints ready for a mobility warm up which will improve flexibility and range of movement.
- 15-20mins = skills development & practice for main session: a chance to learn new skills and work on your technique before we get into the main body of the session.
- 20-45 mins = main session = having practiced the movements, go for it in the main body of the session, working to the clock, push yourself whilst ensuring quality technique.
- 45-60 mins = core conditioning: focusing on conditioning of the trunk through 360 degrees using isometric holds and flexion / extension through a full range.
